“Competing is a great motivator for people. When you have a competition coming up, you know you need to prepare diligently and efficiently. It is a way for people to push their limits and see all their hard work pay off, regardless of placement. It is also a great way to help musicians, of any level. The chance to perform for an audience and have a judge give you constructive criticism does not come along too often, so musicians of any level should take advantage of any competing opportunities and share their music!” – Lillian Reasor, medal; recipient 2004, 2008 and 2009 Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann
