Genealogy

Genealogy will be open

Saturday 10AM-5PM   l   Sunday 11AM-4PM

The goal of the Irishfest La Crosse Genealogy venue is to promote the careful study of Irish genealogy and heritage. Our emphasis is on Ireland, but we will include others of Celtic descent. If your heritage is of some other country, you will not be turned away. Visit us at Irishfest-La Crosse!

The genealogy area includes six wireless internet terminals (laptops provided compliments of Best Buy and the Geek Squad, internet service provided compliments of CenturyLink) and volunteers to assist you. The La Crosse Area Genealogical Society will help you get started if you are new to genealogy, the La Crosse Public Library Archives provides access to library resources on the net and at the local Library, and volunteers from the local LDS Family History Center will be available to provide assistance locating genealogical records.

If you are just beginning to learn about your roots, we recommend starting out by recording what you already know on
a Pedigree Chart (xls | pdf), a Family Group Sheet (xls | pdf), or a Research Checklist (doc | pdf).
