Harpist Andrea Stern
Harpist Andrea Stern conveys the warm resonance of traditional Irish music with loving expertise. Her most recent position was with Minnesota Opera as principal harpist. Her Celtic duo Willow Brae with multi-wind player Laura MacKenzie has performed at both the Irish Fest La Crosse and St Paul Irish Fair, and around the upper midwest. Teaching credits include Augsburg College and MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis, workshops at The Center for Irish Music in St. Paul, and at the Fifth International harp Festival in Belgrade (Serbia).
Brett Lipshutz, Irish Flute
Milwaukee-based flute, whistle and bombarde player Brett Lipshutz has been playing various instruments since 1983. He has played Irish music for over 20 years and since then he has twice played at the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil and toured with the Trinity Dance Company. Brett is an experienced teacher. He has taught flute and whistle for Milwaukee Irish Fest, The Grand Canyon Celtic Arts Academy, and the UWM String-Along weekend and the Association Irlandaise in Paris, France, as well as privately.
Brian and Sheralyn Barnes
Brian and Sheralyn Barnes met through music and have been performing together since 1997. Sheralyn started playing mandolin while living in Doolin, County Clair in the late 1980s. Brian’s interest starting with playing bluegrass music in his native Kentucky, and a desire to look at its source. Whatever they play, whether trad tunes or vocal pieces, is inspired by their love of Ireland. Sheralyn is also a fine artist whose work has shown at the Russell Gallery in New Quay, County Clair; the Tides Gallery in Lahinch; and the Clair Museum in Ennis.

Music from The Langer’s Ball is regularly featured on podcasts from around the world such as Paddy Rock Radio, Shite ‘n’ Onions, Celtic Roots Radio, 67 Music, Marc Gunn’s Irish & Celtic Music Podcast, and many more. The Langer’s Ball has been performing since 2007 and were hailed as “…A Band To Watch” by PaddyRock.com.
Máirtín de Cógáin
Máirtín de Cógáin is a singing, dancing, story-telling bodhrán player who also is a noted playwright and actor. He performs in his native Ireland and all over the U.S…. and between and beyond, too! An infectious personality, Máirtín pleasantly commands the attention of any collection of people, from a concert hall to an intimate porch. If you are lucky enough to catch him spinning a few yarns, you are in for a treat.
Red Hot Chilli Pipers
The Red Hot Chilli Pipers haven’t stopped for a breath, other than to inflate their bagpipes! Taking their signature ‘Bagrock’ sound to the masses, The Chilli’s have fast become a global phenomenon. The Red Hot Chilli Pipers sound is a fusion of traditional pipe tunes and contemporary anthems – tracks include the likes of ‘Use Somebody’ by Kings of Leon, Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’, and AC/DC’s ‘Thunderstruck’.
