The Monarch Public House
Original Bangers and Mash
Stop by the Monarch Public House food booth and watch us grill a 40ft banger, and sell it by the inch, as we attempt to set a Guinness World Record. We will be taking pictures and videotaping the event to send to the Guinness Book of World Records for consideration of inclusion in their official statistics. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Hunger Task Force. Our bangers are based on a family’s original recipe, which is around 100 years old and is made specifically for Monarch’s by a local butcher/grocery store (Andersons Meat Market in Cochrane).
Bantry Backyard and Tea Garden
Named after La Crosse’s 6th sister city (located on the southwest coast of Ireland) and sponsored by Citizen Advocacy, the Bantry Backyard and Tea Room will provide numerous refreshments reminiscent of the Emerald Isle. Irish tarts, scones, Shamrock cookies, and other delicacies will be available to accompany your beverages.
